What's it all about?The Irish Department in Newpark, in co-operation with Coláiste na bhFiann and the Newpark PTA, are pleased to offer four partial scholarships of €500 to attend Irish Summer College this year (full price €930). Two students in First Year and two students in Second Year will be chosen. This is a wonderful opportunity as 40% of the marks is now being allocated to the Junior and Leaving Certificate Oral exam. We would ask interested students to give their names to their Irish teacher as soon as possible. We will be holding brief interviews in the coming week assessing the level, commitment and interest the pupils have in the languare. We here in Newpark are dedicated to encouraging and promoting our native language among our students and the whole school community.
