Covid 19 – When should I not come to school?

 

What if I have symptoms of COVID-19? 

  • Do not attend school 
  • Contact GP/HSE to arrange a COVID-19 test 

 

What if someone I live with has symptoms of COVID-19? 

  • Seek guidance from GP/HSE (guidance dependent on vaccination status)  
  • Await the test results of the symptomatic member of the household 
  • If negative, return to school 
  • If positive, await guidance from the HSE  

 

What if I am deemed a close contact?

What if someone I live with has been deemed a close contact? 

  • Unless they develop symptoms, you do not need to restrict your movements 
  • Attend school as normal 

 

What if I develop symptoms during the school day?  

  • Report to the school nurse, where guidelines regarding the school isolation room will be followed
  • Parents/guardians will be contacted, and arrangements made for the student to be collected
