Exemption from the Study of Irish

Families wishing to apply for an exemption from the study Irish must complete the following two forms and submit to either, a) the key worker or, b) the year leader.

Please note, as per Circular 0055/2022, students currently or previously enrolled in a special class are automatically exempt from the study of Irish without an application. A Certificate of Exemption is available on request from the School. Where a student has a recommendation and has been deemed eligible for a place in the special class, an application is required.

Families wishing to apply for release from the study of a modern foreign language should contact the key worker or year leader to discuss.
