Today the first year Engineering classes swapped their schoolbooks for steering wheels during a thrilling trip to Kylemore Karting. The class are currently designing and engineering their own cars and so were able to take some real life inspiration from the experience. The day included much of the drama of a F1 race weekend including practice laps, time trials, some highly competitive races and predictably, a few spin outs around tight corners. Hopefully the day provided a memorable pit stop on their engineering journey!
