French Youth Debating Competition

Congratulations our European Section students, Evelyn Roche, Theo Egan and Damian Colazurdo, who proudly represented the school and Ireland at the International French Youth Debating Competition Ambassadeurs / Ambassadrices en Herbe in Luxembourg. The competition promotes public speaking, critical thinking and intercultural dialogue, with students researching global issues and presenting their ideas in French.

This year’s theme focused on artificial intelligence: L’IA, une révolution au bénéfice de l’humain ? (AI: a revolution for the benefit of humans?). Following a national selection process, our students were chosen to represent their Western Europe zone final and are now awaiting confirmation of a place at the prestigious world final in Paris this October. Competing alongside students from LabelFrancÉducation schools worldwide, this is a remarkable accomplishment that reflects their dedication to French and their global outlook.
