During September and October many of our teachers will be engaging in Continuous Professional Development (CPD). This will up-skill teachers and result in many benefits to learning and teaching in the classroom. Most of this training involves the continued roll-out of the new Junior Certificate.

On some of the above dates below, a significant number of teachers will attend the CPD and therefore be absent from school. Please note that students will not attend school on October 17 due to a whole-school planning day for all teachers. Continued training will also take place in both the recently introduced subjects of Politics and Society and Physical Education for Leaving Certificate.

The dates for CPD are outside the control of the school. We will, as always, ensure that any impact on learning is kept to a minimum.
