This week 1st Year students took the opportunity to visit some religious spaces across the city, which gave students an opportunity to directly experience different faiths and traditions. The first top was a Sikh Gurdwara, where students enjoyed snacks and learned about equality and service. Next was a Buddhist temple, where students met a Master from Birmingham who spoke about mindfulness and Buddhist New Year, kindly gifting each student a bracelet. The final stops were Monkstown Church of Ireland Church and St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, which gave students an opportunity to explore Christian worship in different traditions.

The aim of the trip was to help students experience different sacred spaces, and understand their worldviews. Students asked thoughtful and enthusiastic questions throughout the day, demonstrating great curiosity!
