Congratulations to Szofia Sabady and Eve O’Donoghue, the winners of Newpark’s annual SciFest, who created a fascinating project exploring the future of forensic science and the chemical luminol.

The competition was judged by former students Breno Keogh, Oisin O’Sullivan and Isobel McSweeney, along with Sheila and Aoife from SciFest, and our very own Claire Grant and Cillian Costigan.

The school was also awarded a SciFest Gold STEM Award, recognising its strong commitment to participation in SciFest. Sheila, the SciFest representative, described this year’s projects as the best she has seen from Newpark.
