Child Protection

All staff are obliged to have read the school’s Child Safeguarding Statement.

Child Safeguarding Statement and Risk Assessment, 2023/2024

The School’s Designated Liaison Person (DLP) is Eoin Norton (Principal). The School’s Deputy Designated Liaison Person (DDLP) is Lynn Anderson (Deputy Principal).

All staff are also obliged to complete child protection training with both TUSLA (Child & Family Agency) and the Professional Development Service for Teachers (PDST):

• TUSLA e-learning child protection training – a certificate is supplied once training is completed. A copy of this certificate is to be provided to the Principal. TUSLA training link
• PDST e-learning child protection training – no certificate is supplied at the end, but when the training is completed, staff members should email the Principal to confirm they have completed it.  PDST training link

It is good practice to retake the training intermittently.

Queries on child protection training should be directed to the Principal.
